Excursion

A wonderful excursion in the Lot region will take place after the conference, on Saturday, June 1. All participants are welcome to join! People who wish to participate will have to choose the corresponding option in the registration form (soon accessible from the Registration page).

Program of the excursion:

• 8:30 AM: departure from UT2J campus (meeting at 8:15 AM)
• 10:15 AM - 12:30 AM: a hike or a guided tour. The guided tour of St-Cirq-Lapopie and the hike are two activities taking place at the same time, so you'll need to choose (not at registration time, but later) which one you'd like to do.
  
  • 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM (first option): hike along the Lot river,between Bouziès and St-Cirq-Lapopie. Then 30 minutes of free visit to wander in the St-Cirq-Lapopie village
     
     
    
     

    Information on the hike: this is a 5km hike, with 200m of positive ascent. You'll need good sports shoes (mountain boots are not necessary) and a water bottle. The trail is not particularly difficult.

     
  • 10:45 AM - 12:15 AM (second option): guided tour of the St-Cirq-Lapopie village
    
     
    
     
• 12:45 - 2:45 PM: lunch in local restaurant in Tour-de-Faure
• 3:00 PM: arrival at the cave of Pech Merle
• 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: visit of the cave and free visit of the Amédée Lemozi museum
  
   
  

   

  Information on the cave visit: this is a 1h tour on a 400m path, with steps. The path can be a bit wet and uneven in places, bring good shoes.

   
• 5:00 PM: departure from the cave
• 7:00 PM: arrival in Toulouse

The price of the excursion (€70) covers all expenses: transportation from Toulouse and back, visits and lunch with drinks.
